Chat with a Scientist: Physics in Your Body In-Person
Push, Pull, and Pump: Physics in Your Body. This is a new interactive STEM session for kids ages 6-10 will get you excited to learn more about how your body works. Join students and faculty from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at WVU for a fun, hands-on session all about the hidden physics that keeps your body working. Kids will discover how their hearts act as pumps to move blood, how their muscles work like levers to lift and move, and how molecules spread through the body by diffusion. Through simple experiments and demonstrations, children will explore how physics and biology come together to make their bodies move and grow. This interactive session invites kids to see the science inside themselves!
